Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at agacolorado58@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • Pillows, bed linen and extra blankets along with all bath and hand towels.  Linen can be removed upon request.
  • Extra toilet paper.  Only specific RV toilet paper can be used in the camper.
  • Stocked kitchen with pots and pans, cooking utensils, eating utensils, plates/bowls/cups/mugs along with a French press for coffee.  Drip coffee maker may be requested.
  • Outdoor Blackstone grill (ran on 1lb propane tanks), camping chairs, outdoor table and rug.  A charcoal grill may be requested.
  • First aid kit and a variety of games.
  • The trailer will be full of fresh water with empty holding tanks for wastewater, full propane tank(s), and hitch for towing.
  • A generator can be added onto the reservation.  The generator can be used to charge trailer batteries, power any outlets, and also power the microwave and/or A/C. Everything else works off of the trailer batteries.
  • We also have a limited amount of portable fire pits that can be added onto the reservation.

  • AGA delivers to a 100 mile radius of Gunnison, CO and includes drop off, set up, and retrieval of camper.
  • Most deliveries are made to campgrounds or RV Parks, reservations for these sites are the renter’s responsibility.  AGA will not claim any “first come, first serve” site.
  • To deliver to any “boondocking” spot, the renter must first go find a sufficient site to deliver to.  AGA will not find a spot on public lands without a renter present.
  • Outside the 100 mile radius?  A delivery may be arranged for a higher fee.
  • Delivery is subject to approval and availability.
  • Amazing Glamping Adventures holds all necessary permits to deliver on public land.  This includes NFS, NPS, and BLM.

  • Each unit has two upgraded batteries that power most of the items and appliances in the camper.  The lights, fridge, furnace, hot water heater, and water pump are all battery powered (some in conjunction with propane).  Naturally, the batteries will be depleted if there is no power source to charge them.  The batteries can be charged using the seven-point plug on the tow vehicle while running the engine (15-20 minutes once or twice a day) or with a generator.
  • Generator:  It is highly recommended to rent a generator with the camper.  The generator will ensure the batteries won’t die and also allows the A/C and/or microwave, and outlets to work in the camper.

  • Hook-ups refer to the availability of electrical plug-ins, water, and/or sewer.  Typically at a campground or RV park, a combination of these amenities are offered.
  • Electric means the camper can be plugged into a power source.  This allows full function of the appliances.
  • A water spigot is accessible to allow on-demand water.
  • Sewer drain is available so the waste tanks of the camper are able to drain directly into the sewer without worry of overfilling them.
    • The black tank (toilet) takes an extra step but will be explained at drop off.

Boondocking, or dry camping, means the camper has no hook ups (power, water, sewer).  If there is no designated campsite on public lands, this is considered boondocking.

  • There will be a full walk-through of the camper at pick up that includes:

  1. Hitching the trailer to the tow vehicle (hitch is provided).
  2. Explanation of leveling and parking the camper.
  3. Full set up including propane, batteries, water, hot water heater, fridge, furnace, waste tanks, and anything else that is in the camper.

  • The walk-through typically takes 40-60 minutes.  Please take this into account when scheduling pick up time and travel to destination.
  • Walk-through is mandatory.

  • If staying at a campground/RV Park, site number and reservation name is required and proof of reservation may be requested.  AGA will check in with the office (if available) to confirm site number.  Check in times must be abided by unless the renter has made special arrangements with management to check in early.  Once the camper is parked it will be set up completely including any hook-ups that are available.  If renter is present, a walk-through will be done (AGA offers contactless delivery in these situations since the camper is completely set up and ready to use).
  • If boondocking, AGA will meet renters on site.  Times and location are coordinated beforehand.  The camper will be set up completely and then a walk-through is done to show how to reset appliances (if need be), how to use the generator (if provided), how to conserve water, etc.
  • At the end of the reservation, the camper is picked up.  Check out times must be conformed to at campgrounds/RV parks unless special arrangements have been made.

The Prep Fee includes propane, fresh water, linen, cleaning after return, and dumping of the waste tanks.

Pets are allowed for a fee of $50.  Please let AGA know if a pet is coming along.

Absolutely no smoking inside the camper or within 20 feet.  This includes cigarettes, vaping, or marijuana (check local laws for legality of marijuana on private and public lands).

  • Colorado is looking at an extremely dry year with fire bans highly likely all summer long.  There are three stages of fire bans:

  1. Stage 1: Fires must be contained in a permanent fire pit.  Fires outside of provided fire pits in established campgrounds or picnic areas are prohibited.  It’s illegal to start campfires in dispersed camping areas.
  2. Stage 2: The general rule of thumb is can the fire be “turned off” (not “put out”)?  Liquid-fueled and gas-fueled devices (including portable propane fire pits and propane grills) are typically permitted.  The following are prohibited under Stage 2 restrictions: Fires, smoking, operating chainsaws, charcoal grills, chimnea portable outdoor fireplaces, fireworks, shooting, sky lanterns, tiki torches, burning trash, welding, and torches.
  3. Stage 3: Closure of area.  No fires whatsoever with or without “quick shut off” abilities.

  • It is the renter’s responsibility to know and understand fire restrictions in whatever area they are camping in.  AGA will try to provide this information as well.
  • Gunnison County’s fire information is on this page: https://gunnisoncounty.org/852/Wildfire-Information.
